This week we’ve got blueberry turnovers. Made with rough puff pastry for a buttery flaky pie that’s big enough to feel like you’ve had a proper dessert, but small enough to double up as a quick sweet snack that fits in the palm of your hand. When I think of turnovers, apple comes to mind as the most traditional filling. They bring back memories of heading to the bakery section in Sainsbury’s after school to buy a pack of 2 turnovers that always came in that really cheap plastic. They hit the spot at the time but I’m sure if I had one now, I’d be thoroughly disappointed. Nothing beats homemade!
