Welcome back to Extra Sweet Things, the end of month newsletter for paid subscribers. Big welcome if you’re new here! This month, I’ve got a little round up of some delicious things I’ve enjoyed in July plus a sweet recipe for banana split crumpets. I’ve taken my original caramelised crumpets and turned them into a fun dessert with bananas, ice cream, hot fudge peanut butter sauce, toasty hazelnuts and of course, sprinkles. It’s completely over the top but sometimes you need it. For everyone entertaining kids over the summer holiday, this could be a cool one to make with them. Set up the toppings in bowls and let them go crazy. Apologies in advance for the sugar rush.
